“An té a bhíónn siúlach, bíonn scéalach”
“He who travels has stories to tell.”
This is one of my favourite proverbs from the Irish language. It speaks to the impact of exploration, discovery, and moving into areas that have have never visited before or doing things that are new, different and challenging.
The more you explore different lands, the greater the quality of your experiences, the deeper your level of awareness and learning becomes.
Travelling in time and looking back can be a great strategy to get you setting some intentions for yourself.
- Looking back from a point in time 12 months from now, what are some of the stories that you’d like to be able to tell?
- And five years from now, what other adventures would you like to have experienced?
- What are some of the learnings you’d like to have had?
- Looking back 10 years from now, how would you know you’d travelled all that you’d wanted to?
