What brings me to coaching is that I am passionate about people and partnering with them to bring forth greater potential into action. I firmly believe that we all have that edge within us, the skills, strengths, and resources we can tap into for our growth, development, and success.
I see my work as accompanying my clients to exploit the skills and resources they already have so that they can develop their flexibility in thinking and in action and as a result, open up new possibilities for discovery, learning, creativity and change.
With over 2,500 ICF registered coaching hours and many more besides, I have had the opportunity to work with many emerging and well-established leaders across a wide variety of industries. Regardless of your sector, I partner with you to identify the areas where you desire change, want to gain insight, and where you want to make a meaningful impact on your personal or professional life, or both.
Many of my clients have discovered their true purpose in life, others have increased their resilience, and navigated major personal and professional change. Many have received the recognition at work they deserved, and most have learned to balance their roles at home and at work and become more focused and happier as a result.
My aim is to create a safe environment in which you can see yourself more clearly, support you to identify gaps between where you are and ideally where you want to be.
In our initial conversation you will have the opportunity to discuss how you would like coaching to work for you and to design the specific type of coaching relationship, the kind of alliance and co-creative space you want to have with me.
In our first sessions we will focus on what you would like to achieve over the whole coaching process. Initially, you may not be entirely clear on that, but as we explore your strengths, your values and what’s most important to you and for you in terms of your priorities we can craft a direction that will serve as the framework for our work together.
Moreover, we will focus on what you would like to achieve over the whole coaching process and together we will co-create the route towards those goals and design milestones along the way that will let you know that you are on track, moving in the right direction and noticing the impact the changes are having.
The great thing about coaching is that you set the agenda. It will be your responsibility to bring to each session what the focus of our time together will be. Sometimes that will be very clear for you before we meet and other times it may well be something that evolves naturally as the beginning of the session unfolds. I will also suggest that you consider how you will get a sense that our time together will have been useful so that we can get a clear outcome for what we explore together.
In between coaching sessions, you’ll have an opportunity to continue reflecting on and experimenting with things we have discussed. You may well be exploring new ways of thinking, putting concrete steps we have identified in the session into action, practicing new techniques, or just letting your unconscious mind guide you to surface new learnings, insights and awareness. In the following week, we will spend a little debriefing how all that went and other opportunities that emerged as a result.
An important part of the process is to pause and regularly check in, measure your progress and see how you are heading toward your desired goals, and the direction that you had set for yourself.
I am convinced that coaching provides an excellent opportunity for successful growth, enrichment, and development, whether utilised in a personal or professional context. My coaching will challenge you to go to places which might be unfamiliar for you, and I can be gently direct when necessary. Nonetheless, I do feel that I provide a highly safe and supportive non-judgmental environment for you to do so, and I bring a deep sense of curiosity, Irish humour and playfulness.
My experience in living with another language in another culture gives me a deep insight on how to adapt to and manage change. As an expert in communication, I feel that I can see things from a wide range of perspectives, and I have a keen sense of what brings people together and what makes them diverse.
If you are ready to challenge yourself to move forward in your life and if you feel that together we can co-create an innovative and dynamic coaching partnership, I’d be privileged to have the opportunity to work with you.
